Sacraments at the Service of Communion

Holy Matrimony

Holy Matrimony serves as the climax of the sacraments, pointing to the Marriage Supper of the Lamb. In this sacrament, the Holy Trinity and the couple, one man and one woman, male and female, join together in a marriage covenant of one flesh, thereby signifying the one flesh union of the Holy Trinity—the Husband—with His Spouse—the Church, forever in love, never to be separated.

For couples planning to marry in the Catholic Church, please contact your parish priest six to nine months before your anticipated wedding date to begin the marriage preparation process. 541-884-4242.

Holy Orders

In this sacrament, the Holy Trinity and the Catholic Church in Apostolic Succession bestows governing, teaching, and sacramental authority and power upon duly qualified men to faithfully celebrate the Holy Mass and administer the sacraments of the Church to the disciples of Jesus Christ, the heavenly Father’s children. Bishops, priests, and deacons receive this sacrament.
